The University Cricket Tournament for the 2025–2026 season (Men’s) kicked off on Friday evening at the Qatar Foundation playgrounds. Organized by the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation in cooperation with the Qatar Cricket Association and Qatar Foundation, the tournament features top universities and higher education institutions and will run until 22 November 2025. In the opening match, Doha University for Science and Technology defeated CUQ Ulster University 187–66, while in the second match, Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar overcame University of Oryx 130–63. The participating teams are divided into two groups: Group A includes Doha University for Science and Technology, Qatar University, and CUQ Ulster University, while Group B features Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Weill Cornell College Medicine – Qatar, and University of Oryx. The championship is part of the Qatar University Sports Federation’s agenda to promote cricket within the university community and encourage students to compete in a professional and supportive sporting environment.

DOHA – Doha – The QCSF University Table Tennis Tournament for the 2025–2026 season concluded on Wednesday, featuring both male and female students. The tournament was organized by the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation (QCSF) in collaboration with the Qatar Table Tennis Association and the Community College of Qatar, and was held at the college arena from November 3 to 5, 2025. At the awards ceremony, Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, President of the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation, alongside Dr. Khalid Al-Horr, President of the Community College of Qatar, crowned the top three teams in both the men’s and women’s categories. In the women’s category, Qatar University (1) took first place, Qatar University (2) finished second, and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies secured third place. In the men’s category, Qatar University claimed first place, Hamad Bin Khalifa University came second, and the University of Doha for Science and Technology finished third. The tournament saw participation from universities and higher education institutions across Qatar. The women’s competition featured Qatar University (1), Qatar University (2), Hamad Bin Khalifa University, and the Community College, while the men’s category included the University of Doha for Science and Technology, Qatar University, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, the Community College, and the Malaysian University in Qatar.

The Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation (QCSF) crowned the winners of the 2025–2026 University Volleyball tournament in a festive ceremony held on Wednesday evening. H.E. Dr. Ibrahim Bin Saleh Al-Nuaimi, President of the QCSF, honored the winning men’s and women’s teams on the closing day of the tournament, which took place from 5 to 15 October 2025 at the Qatar University Sports and Events Complex (A07). In the men’s competition, Qatar University clinched first place and the gold medal, followed by Doha University for Science and Technology, which earned the silver medal, while Hamad Bin Khalifa University secured third place and the bronze. In the women’s competition, Doha University for Science and Technology (Team 1) claimed the top spot, Qatar University (Team 1) took second place, and another team from Doha University for Science and Technology ((Team 2) finished third ، all in a celebratory atmosphere that underscored the power of education in inspiring sporting excellence and empowering students to reach new heights of achievement and success. In the men’s individual awards, Mostafa Ahmed (Qatar University) was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament, while Bader Kamal (Qatar University) received the Best Spiker award, and Abdullah Mohammed (University of Doha for Science and Technology) earned the Best Blocker honor. In the women’s individual awards, Simay Koc (University of Doha for Science and Technology 1) claimed the MVP title, Djihane Mahraz (University of Doha for Science and Technology 1) was recognized as the Best Blocker, and Kaitlin Skye Cruz (Qatar University) received the Best Spiker award. The tournament featured the participation of men’s teams representing Doha University for Science and Technology, Qatar University, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, and Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar, along with women’s teams from Doha University for Science and Technology (1 & 2), Qatar University (1 & 2), and Hamad Bin Khalifa University. Organized by the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation, in collaboration with the Qatar Volleyball Association and Qatar University, the championship reflects the Federation’s commitment to offering a distinctive athletic experience for higher education institutions , empowering every student to move, grow, and be inspired through sport.
