The University Cricket Tournament for the 2025–2026 season (Men’s) kicked off on Friday evening at the Qatar Foundation playgrounds. Organized by the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation in cooperation with the Qatar Cricket Association and Qatar Foundation, the tournament features top universities and higher education institutions and will run until 22 November 2025.

In the opening match, Doha University for Science and Technology defeated CUQ Ulster University 187–66, while in the second match, Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar overcame University of Oryx 130–63.

The participating teams are divided into two groups: Group A includes Doha University for Science and Technology, Qatar University, and CUQ Ulster University, while Group B features Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Weill Cornell College Medicine – Qatar, and University of Oryx.

The championship is part of the Qatar University Sports Federation’s agenda to promote cricket within the university community and encourage students to compete in a professional and supportive sporting environment.
