The competitions of the second edition of Universities Volleyball Championship for the sport season 2023-2024 got underway on Sunday at the Student Centre arena (Multaqa) of Qatar Foundation.

This Championship is organized by the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation in collaboration with the Qatar Volleyball Association and Qatar foundation and will run from April 28 to May 12, 2024.

In Sunday’s opening match, Qatar University team (QU) got better of Weill Cornell Medicine team 2-0, while University of Doha for Science and Technology team (UDST) edged out Hamad Bin Khalifa University 2-1 in the second match.

This championship brings together four male students teams from different Universities and colleges, including Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, University of Doha for Science and Technology and Qatar University. Meanwhile three female students team will fight for top honors , Hamad Bin Khalifa University, University of Doha for Science and Technology and Qatar University.

Most notably, it’s one of events listed on the QCSF’s calendar of the sport season 2023 – 2024 and it provides an ideal environment for students to get involved in multiple sport disciplines.
