University of Doha for Science and Technology team confidently claimed the title of University Basketball Tournament (male students ) for the sport season 2023-2024 after snatching the first place with perfect tally of 12 points during the event’s closing scene held at UDST basketball court on Tuesday.

The Global Studies Institute (GSI) seized the second place in this male students basketball event , collected 10 points, while Texas A&M University at Qatar took the third place with 10 points in their tally.

In the University Basketball tournament (female students) , Texas A&M University team got the top honors , the first place , (8 points), University of Doha for Science and Technology team settled in the second place with 7 points and Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar finished third overall with 6 points in their tally.

At the medal ceremony, the QCSF President Dr. Ibrahim Bin Saleh Al-Naimi crowned the winners of both Male and Female events with gold medals and the trophy, UDST President, Dr. Salem Bin Nasser Al-Naemi handed over the sliver medals to the runners-up of both Male and Female events.
The happy moment continued, as Mr. Hamad Al Shiba, the board member of Qatar foundation delivered the bronze medals to the third place winners (female ), in addition to the awards of best scorer and best player,
Likewise, Mr. Mohammed Saleh Al Marri, board member, handed over the bronze medals to third place winners (male) as well as the awards of best scorer and best player. Tuesday closing scene was attended by a big number of students, working staff from different high education organizations and technical and administrative staff of the teams.
Most notably, the QCSF organized the University Basketball Tournament for sport season 2023- 2024 from October 15 to January 30, 2024.
